The final stretch of your Camino Club takes you through North County’s sun-kissed coastal gems. Begin with a leisurely walk along Ponto Beach, then follow the shoreline past Tamarack and Carlsbad State Beach, where gentle waves and ocean breezes set a peaceful tone.

Explore the lively Carlsbad Village, filled with charming cafes, boutiques, and local eateries. From there, your journey continues into Oceanside, a surfer’s paradise. Stroll along The Strand, where beach cruisers glide past and the ocean hums in the background. Your adventure concludes at the iconic Oceanside Pier, where the vast Pacific stretches endlessly before you—a perfect ending to your Camino journey.

  • Welcome to Stage 7 of your Camino Club Meet your fellow Footbreaker's at public parking lot at South Ponto Beach. After a quick introduction and briefing we’ll begin the walk!

  • Today’s walk will follow the coastline and weave through Carlsbad before finishing at the Oceanside Pier.

  • Our Camino Club will finish at the Oceanside Pier! Congrats! You officially walked across San Diego.

  • Not quite! While our walks do showcase the stunning sites and landscapes of San Diego, they’re not traditional guided tours. Think of them as experiences designed to challenge you both physically and mentally while immersing you in the beauty of the city. Instead of focusing on narration or history, our main goal is walking across San Diego together, fostering connection and discovery along the way.

    If you're looking for a historical, sightseeing, or food tour, San Diego has plenty of amazing companies to check out—we’d be happy to share recommendations!

  • We will meet at the public parking lot at South Carlsbad State Beach off of Carlsbad Blvd.

    • Carpool - park your car at the finish point and carpool to the starting point

    • Public parking lot available at N. Meyers Street and Pier View Way $5 All day

  • Today's walk will cover ~11 miles from our starting point in Imperial Beach to the ferry landing in Coronado.

  • Yes, our walks will continue rain or shine! Only in the rare case of severe or unsafe weather conditions will we consider postponing or canceling. Otherwise, be prepared to embrace the elements and enjoy the adventure as planned.

  • Todays walk will be mostly flat: beach, boardwalks and sidewalks.

  • Not at all! Give it your best shot, but if you feel you’ve reached your limit or are pressed for time, you’re welcome to finish early and stop whenever you need to.

  • While we walk as a group, we understand that everyone has their own pace. Our walks are not races, so feel free to move at the speed that’s most comfortable for you. Whether you prefer a brisk pace or a more leisurely stroll, our goal is to ensure everyone enjoys the experience at their own rhythm.

  • We recommend well-worn, comfortable trainers or hiking shoes. To prevent blisters, avoid wearing brand new footwear.

  • Absolutely! It’s not a race—everyone has their own pace, and we encourage you to stop and rest whenever you need to. Plus, we’ll plan rest stops along the way for snacks, restrooms, and a chance to take in the beautiful surroundings. After all, we’re Footbreaks—it’s in the name!

  • Our walks are open to adults aged 18 and over.

  • We love our furry friends, but unfortunately, this walk isn’t pet-friendly due to the restrictions along the route. However, we’re just as excited as you are about the idea of dog-friendly walks and hope to organize them in the future—so stay tuned! If you have a service animal please get in touch!
