Stage 2 of your Camino Club immerse’s yourself in the heart of San Diego. Begin with a stroll through the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter, then head to the waterfront to explore Seaport Village and historic landmarks like the USS Midway and the Star of India. Next, wander through Little Italy’s lively streets lined with trattoria’s. From there, escape the urban buzz at Balboa Park, with its lush gardens and cultural treasures. Heading out of the park, we’ll meander our way through the lively neighborhood of Hillcrest. Finish your day in Old Town, the birthplace of San Diego, where history, culture, and delicious Mexican food await. Every step reveals something new!

Welcome to Stage 2 of your Camino Club! Meet your fellow Footbreaker's at the Embarcadero Marina Park South parking lot in front of the Burgers, Bait & Beer food shack.

Today’s walk will flow through the Gaslamp Quarter, Seaport Village following the waterfront up through Little Italy to Balboa Park. We’ll then cut up to Hillcrest and across Mission Hills before finishing in Old Town.

Yes, our walks will continue rain or shine! Only in the rare case of severe or unsafe weather conditions will we consider postponing or canceling. Otherwise, be prepared to embrace the elements and enjoy the adventure as planned.

Mostly flat paved surfaces on sidewalks, boardwalks and bike paths. Some incline’s.

Not at all! Give it your best shot, but if you feel you’ve reached your limit or are pressed for time, you’re welcome to finish early and stop whenever you need to.

While we walk as a group, we understand that everyone has their own pace. Our walks are not races, so feel free to move at the speed that’s most comfortable for you. Whether you prefer a brisk pace or a more leisurely stroll, our goal is to ensure everyone enjoys the experience at their own rhythm.

We recommend well-worn, comfortable trainers or hiking shoes. To prevent blisters, avoid wearing brand new footwear.

Absolutely! It’s not a race—everyone has their own pace, and we encourage you to stop and rest whenever you need to. Plus, we’ll plan rest stops along the way for snacks, restrooms, and a chance to take in the beautiful surroundings. After all, we’re Footbreaks—it’s in the name!

Our walks are open to adults aged 18 and over.

We love our furry friends, but unfortunately, this walk isn’t pet-friendly due to the restrictions along the route. However, we’re just as excited as you are about the idea of dog-friendly walks and hope to organize them in the future—so stay tuned! If you have a service animal please get in touch!
